Crows attack
I recently saw a news segment showing crows in the city attacking pedestrians
by pecking at their heads.
Watching it on the news, I didn't feel the severity of the situation.
Today, I was walking on a park trail.
Since it was a weekday, there was no one around.
As I was walking down some steps, I heard a crow cawing.
When I looked up, I saw a crow with its beak wide open,
cawing loudly with all its might.
The sound was incredibly loud, and its frantic cawing startled me.
I wondered why it was behaving that way and
thought there might be baby crows nearby.
As I continued down a few more steps, I saw another crow.
Then there was another one.
There must have been about four or five crows in total.
They all started cawing madly, and I didn't dare look up,
fearing they might attack if I made eye contact.
I quickened my pace, thinking I just needed to get past the area
where the crows were.
As I passed that spot, the crows started following me, cawing aggressively.
They followed me, continuing their loud cawing.
Feeling increasingly anxious, I started to run.
It felt like a scene from a movie where someone is attacked by crows.
I worried that if they all attacked at once,
their sharp beaks could cause serious injury.
I ran faster and faster.
The sound of the crows cawing above me grew fainter.
Finally, I felt relieved and stopped to catch my breath.
When I looked back, the crows were nowhere to be seen.
